USA Eagles forward Cam Dolan has signed with the Northampton Saints of the Aviva Premiership.  The 23-year-old had an impressive year with the Eagles and first attracted the attention of the English club for his Man of the Match performance against the New Zealand Maori.

“We’ve kept a close eye on Cam for a while and have been impressed by what we’ve seen,” Saints Director of rugby Jim Mallinder said on the club website. “He’s a player who has a lot of natural talent and the physical attributes it takes to succeed, something he showed during the Autumn Internationals and against the Maori.” It will be a big change for Dolan.  The 6’6” player will make the jump after playing last year for Life University.  But Mallinder and the Saints coaches understand there will be a transition period saying ‘it is a big step up to the professional environment of the Aviva Premiership and we’re not expecting Cam to be the finished article immediately.’

Dolan has earned 6 caps for the Eagles.  He is the former captain of the USA Under-20’ and Selects teams.
