England completed the Grand Slam in winning the 2016 Six Nations. The team wore the classic home jersey to seal the title but much of the hard work is always done behind the scenes in training gear. Canterbury has released the 2016 line of official England training gear which has a cool and distinctive look.
Canterbury has adopted a 2-tone blue look for the training gear and leisure wear lines. The navy and royal blue colorway is a striking combination.
The 2016 England Training Shirts are royal blue with navy blue detailing over the upper chest. A horizontal white stripe separates the navy on the chest with the royal blue on the lower body. The sleeves and crew collar are royal blue.
The England 2016 Poly Training Shirt and England 2016 Cotton Training Shirt have the same silhouette with 3 subtle differences. The Poly Training Shirt has narrower band of navy blue over the upper chest which allows more room for the center chest placement of the team’s O2 sponsorship logo and the horizontal stripe runs across the chest AND under the arms.
The Cotton Training Shirt has a smaller O2 sponsorship logo under the team badge over the heart, a wider navy blue detail over the chest, and the horizontal white detail stripe only runs across the chest.
The England 2016 Training Polo takes reverses the colors with a navy blue base and royal blue detail over the upper chest. Similar to the Cotton Training Shirt the O2 logo is under the team badge over the heart as well as on the left collar lapel.
Training gear and leisure wear is a great way to get the official look without the high price of an official jersey. The lines have the same attention to detail and look of the official gear but at a lower price.
