Leicester Tigers unveiled their 2014/15 home jersey on Tuesday with team supporters invite to the Welford Road event to catch a glimpse of the new jersey and meet the players. The jersey is made by official kit supplier Canterbury and has a cool look to it.
The evergreen jersey features narrow hoops of contrasting green and red and white and is designed to be worn tight. The red and white hoops do a great job of highlighting the team badge, on the center chest, and the Caterpillar sponsor logo across the front.
The collar is the Canterbury’s signature Loop 21 neckline with green around the neck and red in the front. The collar looks very much like a constructed round collar with the sides re-enforced. Canterbury has continued their trend of putting their brand logo on the shoulder of the right arm rather than over the chest.
The solid green sleeves have a thick red cuff with the CAT logo on the right sleeve (as well as on the left shoulder) and the Aviva Premiership logo on the left sleeve.
Durability is a key of the construction with other critical high stress areas also re-enforced.
The new home jersey will makes its on-field debut on September 6 with the start of the Aviva Premiership campaign.
The Leicester alternate jersey will be unveiled later in August.
The Leicester City 2014/15 home rugby jersey is being received and will be available on WorldRugbyShop.com’s website on Friday, August 15, 2014.
