The Ospreys 17/18 home rugby jersey was revealed this month.  The Welsh region club will wear for the inaugural 2017/18 Guinness Pro14 campaign – it’s their first home shirt produced by new kit supplier Canterbury of New Zealand.

The home shirt eschews the bright contrast colours of recent seasons and returns to the classic black and brilliant white colour scheme that the region began with in 2004.

The new shirt features minimal ornamentation, with the only flourishes of white outside of the sponsor logos and club crest being the strengthening tape on the double layer loop collar, and a ‘bedrock hoop’ motif on each sleeve.

The motif is the same as the one that was used to much more prominent effect on the Ospreys away jersey, and is designed to highlight a return to the foundations of Ospreys rugby.

The Ospreys wore their home shirt for the first time in last weekend’s Canterbury Cup preseason clash against Bath Rugby.
