A former rugby player is turning his attention and changing his name to make it big at the 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi.  And the move is coming with some controversy.

Fuahea Semi is a rugby player from the Pacific nation of Tonga.  Or maybe we should say was.  Semi has changed his name to Bruno Banani, the name of a fashion label that happens to be his sponsor, and qualified to the luge competition next winter.

The 26-year-old only took up the sport 5 years ago and all his training takes place outside of Tonga as the country has an average temperature of 80 degrees and no luge runs.  It did not slow him down as he trained in the U.S. and Germany and qualified by finishing 28th out of 42 at a recent qualifying event in Utah.
