The Rugby World Cup returns to England in 2015 and the excitement is building with the IRB announcing that 2.3 million tickets will go on sale in 2014. The goal is to draw a crowd of regular rugby fans while welcoming new fans to the game.
With that in mind, the IRB has set a ticket structure to encourage all fans with prices starting as low as $25 for adults and children’s tickets at $11.50 available for group stage matches.
But don’t think that all tickets will be so cheap with the host nation and marquee teams pulling in a much higher starting price. England matches will set you back $123.00 at the starting level and as much as $516.00 for Category A tickets.
The elimination rounds have starting prices of $155 for the quarterfinals, $205 for the semifinals, and $246 for the final. But if you want to see the final from a Category A seat it will set you back $1,172.00. There is no children’s pricing for elimination matches.
Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets can be purchased via England 2015 or Rugby Travel Hospitality (RTH), the official travel provider for the RWC 2015, or an official travel partner of RTH. Tickets will go on sale in September for a general sale but through an application process. The remaining tickets will be sold via Ticketmaster starting in November or December.
