Super Rugby side Sharks, now called the Cell C Sharks after their sponsor, unveiled their home and away jerseys for the 2014 campaign.  The black and white jerseys have a contemporary look that was developed in conjunction with new apparel sponsor BLK.

Sharks_1The most distinctive feature that sets this jersey apart from earlier Sharks jerseys is the subtle geometric carbon fiber pattern on the jersey.  The home jersey has a dual tone look while the away jersey features a grey pattern.

Sharks_PlayersThe black with white trim open stub collar along with black tapered detail paneling from the collar to the base of the each sleeve provides an added contemporary look.

The team sponsor Cell C logo is on front along with the Sharks logo over the heart and BLK logo over the right chest.  The Super Rugby logo is on the right sleeve and the Cell C ‘C’ logo is on the left sleeve.

The jersey is made from BLK’s Exotek material.  The Exotek is one of the lightest, most breathable, and strongest materials on the market giving the Sharks an added edge when they take the field this season.

Sharks_fromTwitter“The Sharks have long since been celebrated as a key global rugby brand which is reflected in their relentless pursuit of success both on and off the field,” BLK Marketing and Digital Director Jason Sintome.

“At BLK we are determined to be leaders in jersey innovation and will ensure players and fans receive apparel created specifically to enhance the rich heritage of the franchise and assist in their pursuit of success.”
