The New Year has started and teams are off and running with domestic and European competitions getting to crunch time.  Rugby Rugby takes a look at some of the key moments and the rugby cleats that powered them on.

Yoann Huget – Toulouse – Nike Tiempo Legend V
Yoann_Huget_CSToulouse defeated league leaders Clermont Auvergne for their 9th consecutive home win to see them move to 4th place on the Top 14 table.  Yoann Huget was in on the action wearing a pair of the new Nike Tiempo Legend V cleats.  The fullbacks pass to Maxime Medard for a try appeared to go forward but after consultation between the referees let the score stand.

The most recent update to the classic Tiempo line came out in December 2013.  It is designed for the ‘modern warrior’ and combines the best in technology and comfort.

James O’Connor – London Irish – Puma evoSpeed 2.2

O_connor_James_CSJames O’Connor and his PUMA evoSPEED 2.2 FG in the Blackberry Cordial colorway accounted for all the London Irish’s points in their 22-9 win over Worcester in a battle at the bottom of the table at the Madejski Stadium.  The Australian ace scored a try, conversion, and 5 penalties on the way to the win.  Puma cleats are gaining popularity in rugby but for the best selection of all the silos you can visit the World Rugby Shop’s partner store, the World Soccer Shop.
