The Welsh Rugby Union has revealed a new home shirt that Wales will wear for the next two seasons, which is once again produced by US sportswear giant, Under Armour.

The new shirt sees a return to the clean, classic traditional look of a Wales national team jersey – a simple red shirt with minimal ornamentation. The only overt deviation from the classic design is darker ‘Daredevil red’ patches on the sleeves and on the low-profile collar.

There is one subtle but truly special feature about the new Wales shirt, however – across the shoulders are two panels that feature a topographical map of key areas of Wales, including Cardiff, Neath, Lampeter and Bangor among others.

The really special thing about this, however, is that the nature of the way this sublimated fabric has been used by Under Armour means that every single shirt produced will have a slightly different and totally unique configuration of this topographic pattern.

Wales will wear their new home shirt for the next two years, running out in it for the first time against Australia in November.
