The IRB Women’s Sevens World Series has its next stop in America and the U.S. Women’s 7s team will be ready after announcing their squad.

Veterans Christy Ringgenberg and Irene Gardner will make their return to the team. Ringgenberg had been a leader all of last year and is expected to fill that role once again. The only other change to the team from the one that finished 7th in Dubai is Jessica Javelet. Kathryn Johnson, Liz Sowers, and Lorrie Clifford have been rotated out.

The core of the team stays the same. Deven Owsiany, Kelly Griffin, Jillion Potter, Lauren Doyle, Vix Folayan, and Megan Bonny have all proven that they can play on the Series.

The Atlanta 7s take place next week with the U.S. taking on Canada, Australia, and China in pool play. The action will then shift down to Brazil for the first Series stop in that country.
